Vital Skills for Life
Local residents and employees found out about opportunities to teach literacy, numeracy and 'English as a Second or Other Language' (ESOL) at a special awareness-raising event at All Saints Church on Monday 22 May.
Hosted by Lewisham College and New Cross Gate NDC, the event provided a fascinating programme of workshops demonstrating 'Skills for Life' training, including progressive new ways of teaching adult literacy, numeracy and ESOL.
Also on tap at the event was vital information, advice and guidance for people wanting to develop their teaching skills in their work with the community, and information on the different courses that are currently being offered locally at Lewisham College.
